The Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors has announced the median home price rose 7.25% to $102,432 in 2007. According to Doug Horton, the president of the Northeast Oklahoma Real Estates Services, (the multiple listing service which comples sales data) said the measure (using the median) is more reliable than the average which can swing greatly month-to-month. The median is the level at whch half of all homes sold for fore and half sold for less.
Of the cities close to Tulsa, Glenpool experienced the greatest price increase, rising 12.28%. However, Broken Arrow, which has experienced the greatest amount of home construction in the Tulsa area over the past few years, recorded a modest prince increase of 3.97%. On the other side, the mdeidan sales price in Sand Springs fell -5.57% percent. The city of Tulsa has a median price of $112,000 and had a 4.19% increase.
